SB19-188: The FAMLI Program

[caption id="attachment_1647" align="alignnone" width="180"] Tony Gagliardi[/caption]   Tony Gagliardi, Colorado and Wyoming state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, joins Kim in the first segment to talk about SB19-188, the FAMLI Program. The bill seeks to supplant private policies on paid family leave time, which would remove current paid leave programs for small businesses. The bill would also require employers to fund the program and the Democratic sponsors of the bill are also seeking to bypass TABOR by calling the payments a premium instead of a tax.

Socialized Medicine with Dr. Jill Vecchio

Dr. Jill Vecchio, an outspoken critic of The Affordable Care Act and other attacks on the free market healthcare system talks with Kim about socialized medicine. Dr. Vecchio talks about the real costs and drawbacks of "universal healthcare" in countries like Japan and Canada. Dr. Vecchio also breaks down why Medicare in its current form is unsustainable, and then she asks an important question: Do you have a right to healthcare? And if you say you do, does that mean you have a right to access healthcare or a right to have someone else pay for it? It's a question that might be painful for some, but nothing's free. So who really pays for free healthcare and what are they getting for their money? You'll have to listen to the show to find out. https://soundcloud.com/the-heart-of-the-matter/31419colorado-paid-family-leave-bill-socialized-medicine-discussion-with-dr-jill-vecchio
