HB19-1243: Resolution to allow teenagers to vote in school district elections

With Democrats flooding the statehouse with questionable resolutions, some proposed bills are getting less attention than others. Kim puts the spotlight on HB19-1243, the bill seeking to allow 16 and 17-year-olds to vote in school district elections. With the teacher unions filling the schools with agenda-driven members, is this bill on its face giving students a say in their school district, or is it the first step on a slippery slope, where impressionable not-adults are guided on voting by teachers and others seeking to push a particular agenda. If this passes, what happens next? Does this open the door to children voting on other matters?
